Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 and was praised by musicians and music blogs as well as from the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of the most well-known covers by the artist. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the track Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by the music. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a hobby, but to grow. So she started making her own lyrics. Her influences include renowned writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to the style of Bjork. The singer decided to perform her music in public when her mother said they might help others not to gain fame with the work she does, but to help people see around them realize the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She began playing the piano when she was just six years old, then began creating music when she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. Music is her favorite way of feeling anything.
